Main Film (Title TK)

I’ve logged about 90% of the footage, with four months left. Once that’s complete, I’ll begin experimenting with sequences and image-sound relationships, guided by the internal logic I’ve been building.

Eighteenmile Creek Film (Title TK)

I have a rough edit of this video and have started some experiments with adding handheld footage and different sounds to see if it opens up new layers of tension or texture. The pacing is slow and contemplative, echoing the movement of the creek.

Road Trip Book (Title TK)

The book is in draft form and I’ve already completed a test print. I’m letting it sit while I focus on the film and other priorities, but there are a few final steps: deciding on a title, writing a short text, editing the images, and printing two copies.

Walk Log (ongoing)

Walk Log is a record of unplanned city walks, capturing observation and what stays in memory. Each entry composes images and is published on walklog.nyc.

Family Album (ongoing)

Renunciation of Time I pulled up an hour before sunset. Fallen trees. I burned driftwood. Sent a photo to Bo who had just arrived in the city. Rilke spent a lot of time writing letters. After ten years he wrote to a friend with excitement because he completed a work. The coastal light faded. The Family Album (ongoing)

Black Friday Everyday (2023)

Site-specific installation at Black Friday Everyday in Sunset Park, using objects found on-site. It is believed that the installation remained in place until the store’s permanent closure. The work is documented as a double-sided 4×6 print. Made in collaboration with Bo-Won Keum. (2023)

Statement

Relationships move the films forward. Rhythm, gaps, and resonance shape meaning. Past and present collapse. Silence gives weight. Images privilege feeling over logic. I trust the image as material and structure forms intuitively. My films are immersive, sensory experiences that sustain presence, uncertainty, and the act of looking itself. Edit: March 4, 2025
